Salvador Ortega Flores (born March 22, 1920 in Mexico City , † December 16, 1972 there ) was a Mexican architect , urban planner and teacher.

biography

Ortega studied architecture at the Escuela Nacional de Arquitectura of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). As an architect, he mainly planned projects in public spaces . Together with Mario Pani , with whom he cooperated from 1950, and with Enrique del Moral , he designed, among other things, the central administration building of the UNAM.

In the area of ​​urban planning in the Distrito Federal de México he held a number of offices and played a key role in the planning of the metro in Mexico City as the then representative of the main administration for public construction projects .
