The Ruger MP9 is a submachine gun made by the US armaments company Sturm, Ruger & Co. , which uses the 9 mm Parabellum caliber .

description

The MP9 was developed in 1995 by Uzi Gal for the American company Sturm Ruger based on the famous Uzi . It was supposed to be an inexpensive submachine gun, but it had a very high quality workmanship. Therefore it is very similar to its role model.

It was improved in some areas, which earned it the nickname "Improved Uzi". The MP9 has, among other things, an extendable folding stock made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic .

Unlike the Uzi, the Ruger MP9 is a shooting weapon . This shooting system has the advantage that it is much safer, especially when it comes to falling safety, than its famous model. Another advantage is that it makes it more precise. With the MP9 it is also possible to change the barrel in a relatively short time.

The MP9 was only built in a very small number by Ruger and mostly sold to the American police or the military. Since 2008 it has also been possible for private individuals in the USA to acquire this handgun.
