The runestone of Glemminge ( Swedish Glemmingestenen ; Samnordisk runtextdatabas DR 338) is a runestone made of granite , built into the eastern cemetery wall of the church of Glemmingebro on Trumlevvägen in Ystad in Skåne in Sweden .

The rune stone (unlike the rune stone from Älleköpinge ) represents the transition from runes in vertical rows, which are delimited by frame lines, to runes in a serpentine ribbon, as the runes are in two closed circumferential ribbons. However, the stone remains otherwise undecorated and simple. Stora Köpingesten then takes the step to the still simple snake ribbon.

Stora Köpingesten

The text reads: “Sven placed this stone after Toste the Sharp (brave), his father, a very good nobleman. May those who break the monument perish. "
