Russo-Lithuanian Wars

The Russian-Lithuanian wars ( Russian Русско-литовские войны ) were a centuries comprehensive series of confrontations in which the Grand Duchy of Lithuania first strongly to the field of Rus intervened expanded and in the internal power struggles between Russian principalities. However, after the consolidation of northeastern Rus under the leadership of the Grand Duchy of Moscow , these wars were increasingly characterized by the superiority of the Russian side, which eventually led the Lithuanian side to the union of Lublin with the Kingdom of Poland . The historiography speaks of Russian-Polish wars in the further wars of Russia with this political entity .
