Russki Newsweek
Russki Newsweek ( Russian : Русский Newsweek) was a weekly magazine published in Moscow . It was published by the Axel Springer Russia publishing house (Russian: Аксель Шпрингер Раша).
Russki Newsweek appeared as a licensed edition of the American news magazine Newsweek since June 2004, after a long-term cooperation between Newsweek and the Russian news magazine Itogi had ended. In October 2010 the publisher discontinued the magazine for economic reasons. The last issue appeared on October 18, 2010. The sheet came out in A4 format in color, its circulation - according to the publisher - was 45,000. It was sold in major cities in Russia. Mikhail Fischman was most recently the editor-in-chief .
In the World Press Photo 2006 competition , the paper was the only Russian publication to be awarded first prize in the Daily life category.
