Rustaveli is a station on the Tbilisi Metro used by the Akhmetelis-Teatri-Warketeli line . The architects of the station are O. Kalandarishvili and L. Dschanelidze.

The station was opened on January 11, 1966 and was originally the terminus of the Didube-Rustaveli line at that time . The station was named after Schota Rustaweli or Rustawelis Gamsiri, who is at the station . Rustaveli has the longest escalators in the entire Tbilisi metro with a length of 120 m and is also the deepest station with a depth of 60 m. Rustaveli lies between Tawisuplebis Moedani and Marjanishvili . The station is also to be connected to the Rustaveli-Wazisubani line by means of a transition station.
