Marjanishvili metro station

Marjanishvili (also written after the English spelling Marjanishvili or often also Marjanishvili ), Georgian მარჯანიშვილი , is a station on the Tbilisi Metro . It was opened in 1966 and is used by the Achmetelis-Teatri-Warketeli line . The station was named after Konstantine Mardschanischwili , whose marble bust is in the station. The architects were named O. Melia and G. Melkadze. It is clad in black and white marble; the magnificent furnishings are strongly reminiscent of the Moscow Metro . It lies between Sadguris Moedani and Rustaveli .
