Rutenga

Rutenga is a 550 m high place with about 1,000 inhabitants in the Masvingo province in Zimbabwe on the road and railway line from Gweru to Maputo .

Rutenga is located in a wide thorn bush and cattle breeding area with rolling hills and a very large rock. It is considered the most backward and poorest area in the country. The climate is hot and dry. The existing wells do not meet the demand. Overall, the area is very run-down, the street signs have been stolen, many houses have been destroyed. The people here are not lazy, the land does not give them the income they need.

Rutenga has a primary school.
