Ruth Cameron is an American jazz singer , record producer, and wife of Charlie Haden .
life and work
Ruth Cameron came from a musical family but began her acting career. She has performed in theaters in North America and Europe. After her marriage to Charlie Haden, she became his manager and producer of the Quartet West . Encouraged by her husband, she recorded her first album, First Song, in 1999 . Charlie Haden dedicated several compositions to his wife, including the song First Song and Waltz for Ruth , which he published on his album Night and the City , among others . Her second album Roadhouse followed in October 2000 .
In April 2011 Charlie Haden recorded the album Sophisticated Ladies with several jazz singers, including Ruth Cameron.
