Ruth von Mosbach-Lindenfels

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ruth von Mosbach-Lindenfels was an early abbess of the Himmelkron monastery around the end of the 14th century .

The work of Ruth von Mosbach-Lindenfels as abbess of Himmelkron can only be narrowed down by the terms of office of her predecessor Anna von Nürnberg , who died in 1383, and her successor Agnes von Wallenroth , who was abbess until 1409.

Ruth came from the Rhenish noble family Mosbach-Lindenfels and is therefore the only abbess who comes from a noble family whose home area is a long way away and whose connection to Himmelkron has not yet been established. After Zinck, she may have left the monastery soon. There are uncertain indications of another abbess named Lawke for the year 1401.
