Ryō Fukudome ( Japanese 福 留 亮 Fukudome Ryō ; born June 26, 1978 in Kumamoto Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Fukudome learned to play soccer on the school team at Ozu High School . He signed his first contract in 1997 with the Kyoto Purple Sanga . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 1999 he moved to the second division Sagan Tosu . For the club he completed 60 games. At the end of 2002 he ended his career as a football player.
