Company philosophy
The company operates around 100 salons in Germany and Switzerland. The company's salon brand is “Ryf of Switzerland”, and the company's headquarters are in Hamburg .
The flat hierarchy of the company consists of three managing directors , four sales managers, around 100 salon managers and the other hairdressers. You work according to the motto “hairdresser from the heart”.
The company's goal is to become the best chain store in Germany in terms of quality. For this purpose, all employees u. a. trained in the Pivot Point hair cutting technique. Furthermore, the employees receive current training from Wella, which is the company's main partner. The trainees receive special training: In the first year of their apprenticeship, they receive seminars in the “Ryf Junior College” in addition to vocational school and work in the salon. The trainees come together in training centers and learn the latest dyeing and cutting techniques from trainers from Wella and Pivot Point. Thus, after an average of one year, they reach the level of a journeyman hairdresser and can serve their own guests. The training concept has already received several awards from the hairdressing guild in Hamburg.
history
Ryf Coiffeur was founded in 1943 by Albert Ryf in Lucerne (Switzerland). In 1984 the brothers Frank and Rolf Breckwoldt - great-grandchildren of the perfume and fine soap manufacturer Georg Dralle - took over the salons and continued to expand the hairdressing business in Germany from 1986. Today Ryf Coiffeur GmbH has around 700 employees.
