Building at Rynek 10 in Lublin

The building at Rynek 10 is located in the historic old town of Lublin in Poland , more precisely: on the market square . The first building at this point was probably built in the 14th century.

history

It was rebuilt in 1575 after the great fire in Lublin. From 1608 the second floor was added and an attic was added. In the years 1823 to 1835 it was completely renovated and a third floor was added. The plastering with all decorations was removed in 1936 and the facade was drastically changed again in 1954. The currently existing facade was only restored at the beginning of the 21st century according to the original templates. In addition to depictions of flowers and animals, the sgraffito also shows a portrait of Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski .
