Rytis Šatkauskas

Rytis Šatkauskas (born April 4, 1969 in Klaipėda ) is a former Lithuanian politician , Vice Minister of Agriculture .

Life

After graduating from the 14th Klaipėda Middle School with a major in mathematics , he graduated from the Radio Electronics Faculty in 1994 with a master's degree in Management from Kauno technologijos universitetas . In 1996 he founded UAB "Sabelija" and from 1997 was director of UAB "Sabelijos prekyba". In 2005 he was Deputy Environment Minister of Lithuania in the 13th government. In 2006 he was a member of the Seimas (only a few days). From 2007 to 2013 he was a member of Kaunas City Council , head of the Economic Committee. From 2007 to 2013 he was Director of Development at UAB “Sabelijos prekyba”. From February 11, 2013 to June 2014, he was Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Lithuania , Deputy to Vigilijus Jukna (* 1968) in the Butkevičius cabinet . Šatkauskas resigned from office following pressure from the government coalition leadership prior to the confirmation of the new cabinet of ministers following the 2014 Lithuanian presidential election .

He has been a member of Darbo partija since 2003 .

With Ms. Dalė Eglė he has children Matas, Adelė, Kasparas and Elzė.
