Ryu (born June 10, 1975 in New York ; real name Ryan Patrick Maginn ) is an American MC and member of the underground hip-hop band Styles of Beyond . He is also a member of the Demigodz and Fort Minor .

biography

Ryu attended Pierce College in Woodland Hills , California . There he also met his Styles-of-Beyond bandmates Tak and DJ Cheapshot. In 1997 they founded Styles of Beyond and released their debut album 2000 Fold .

2002 presented Ryu and Cheap Shot on the Linkin Park - remix album Reanimation their talents. Between their first release in 2000 Fold (1997) and their second album Megadef (2003) the group took a temporary break. Ryu continued to work solo during this time.
