São Cosme e São Damião Church in Gondomar

São Cosme e São Damião (also called Matriz de Gondomar ) is the Catholic parish church of the northern Portuguese district town of Gondomar .

An inscription above the main portal indicates that construction began in 1727. The church, built in the Baroque style, has a bell tower on the north side. At the front there are portraits of the church patrons Cosmas and Damian in niches .

The furnishings include a carved and gilded altar retable on the main altar and the side altars, the painted coffered ceiling and statues of saints, including a portrait of the Virgin and Child.
