Saxon colored pigeons are breeds of domestic pigeons and belong to the breed group of colored pigeons .

The breeds of the Saxon color pigeons are all characterized by a uniformly strong, low-lying field pigeon shape and are all belatscht . The smooth-headed ones have their origin partly in Bohemia . The capped ones were bred out in Saxony . They have a wide, dense spring hood.

The heads of the Saxon colored pigeons are oblong and round with a moderately high and broad forehead. The eye color varies. It is adapted to the color of the pigeon, the color shade , orange or dark. The edge of the eye is also adapted to the color of the feather and is narrow. The medium-length neck protrudes strongly from the broad shoulders. The back drops only a little backwards. The chest is well rounded, broad and deep. The tail continues the slightly sloping back line. The legs are short, dense and long and covered with vulture feathers , the feathers of the lower legs grow backwards. The wings are closed and rest on the tail.
