The Sächsische Provinzbahnen GmbH in Halle (Saale) was an administrative organization in the Soviet occupation zone .

It was founded on January 1, 1947 by the Ministry of Economics and Transport with the purpose of taking over the management of the small and private railways in the province of Saxony , which were nationalized at that time . She thus succeeded the previously disbanded small railway department of the Provincial Association of Saxony .

On April 1, 1949, Sächsische Provinzbahnen GmbH handed over the small and private railways it managed to the administration and usufruct of the Deutsche Reichsbahn .
