Saxon Teachers' Association

The Saxon Teachers' Association (SLV) is a trade union .

It represents the interests of teachers, especially in East Germany. The SLV was founded on March 10, 1990 by teachers. It has around 10,000 members, making it the largest teachers' association in eastern Germany.

The SLV is a member of the VBE, the Association for Education and Upbringing , which in turn is part of the DBB Beamtenbund and Tarifunion .

Program

The SLV is committed to the implementation of the following requirements:

  • a talented, multi-part school system
  • Performance must be worthwhile.
  • Quality standards must be maintained.
  • for the professional, societal and social advancement of the profession
  • Official status not only for school administrators
  • Protection against dismissal for employees
  • Tariff adjustment to the western level
  • attractive advanced and advanced training opportunities
