Såstaholm

Såstaholm is a mansion in the municipality of Täby , Stockholm County , Sweden . It is currently a hotel and restaurant and offers conference facilities. The farm used to be known as Såsta gård and Höstsol . The cultivation of this piece of land can be traced back to the 16th century.

In 1903 Max Sievert built an Art Nouveau summer house on this land. This in turn was sold to the Höstsol Foundation in 1917. The foundation looked after impoverished retired actors who found a place for their old age there. In 1981 the property was sold to the Winn Hotel Group and has been operating under the name Såstaholm Hotell & Konferens ever since .

Såstaholm Prize

Since 2008, the Såstaholm Prize (Såstaholms pris till Höstsols minne) , a theater prize specially for talented young actors, has been awarded to commemorate the history of the house . It is endowed with 50,000 SEK and a hotel room that can be decorated according to your wishes. The previous winners are:
