Sébastien Schemmel

Sébastien Schemmel (born June 2, 1975 in Nancy ) is a former French footballer. Most recently he played at AC Le Havre .

Career

Sébastien Schemmel began his career at AS Nancy . After he could not earn a regular place there, he moved to rival FC Metz . After two years in Metz, Schemmel took the plunge abroad and moved to the then English Premier League club West Ham United for a six-figure transfer fee . In 2003 he was relegated with the club from the Premier League. Schemmel then moved to Portsmouth FC , which had previously been promoted to the Premier League. In January 2005 Schemmel returned to his French homeland and was hired by the second division AC Le Havre . Schemmel ended his active career after only half a year.
