The Sécheron coupling from the manufacturer Société Anonyme des Ateliers de Sécheron is a central buffer coupling for connecting rail vehicles (usually used on trams ). There are types that only establish a mechanical connection between the vehicles, and those that also allow an electrical connection. It is also possible to transmit traction currents, so that in the case of multiple units of multiple units, not all of the cars in the train have to drive with the pantograph raised.

Structure and function are similar to the more well-known and widespread Scharfenberg coupling , but the mechanical part is kept simpler.

The Sécheron coupling is common in Switzerland; In the Czech Republic, the Tatra T6A5 operated by the Prague transport company are equipped with these couplings.
