Sékouba Bambino
Sékouba Bambino (* 1964 in Kintinya , Guinea ; actually: Sékouba Diabaté ) is a Guinean singer.
He comes from a family of Griots , in whose tradition his music stands. In 1979 he took part for the first time in the national arts festival in the capital Conakry , became a member of Bembeya Jazz National , took part in tours through Africa, Europe and North America. Bembeya Jazz National was one of the groups supported by the state on the initiative of the dictator Ahmed Sékou Touré . His first solo album was released in 1991, followed by six more. In the meantime he was part of the group Africando , which produced Afro-Cuban music.
In 2018 he took part in the 32nd Festival International Nuits d'Afrique in Montréal , Canada .
