Södra utmossen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Södra utmossen is a moor on the Swedish island of Öland in the Baltic Sea .

The Stora Alvaret begins south of the moor , north of the Mittlandsskogen . The small village of Lenstad is located directly northwest of the moor .

The moor has not been preserved in its natural state. Human interference such as the partial excavation of the moor has exposed the wetland to increased siltation . However, efforts are being made to counteract these processes with renaturation measures .

The black tern can be seen in the moor . In the fauna, the wetland is dominated by the stiff sedge .
