Søren Pind (born November 20, 1969 in Herning ) is a Danish politician of the Venstre party and was Justice Minister in the Lars Løkke Rasmussen II government .

Life

Søren Pind studied in Copenhagen Jura and graduated in 1997 with the Master from. From 1999 to 2005 he worked as a tutor at the university , and in 1997 and 1998 he worked briefly for Waterfront Communications.

As early as 1986 he worked for the young liberals, the youth organization of Venstre, sat on the city council of Copenhagen from 1994 to 2008 and was responsible for the building department there. From February 23 to March 8, 2011, Pind served the Lars Løkke Rasmussen I government as Minister for Development Aid and from March 8 to October 3, 2011 Minister for Integration and Development Aid. In the Løkke Rasmussen II cabinet, he took over the post of Minister of Justice.
