The South Ethiopian Semitic languages are a group of Afro-Asian languages in Ethiopia and Eritrea .
Within the Semitic languages, they belong to the Southwest Semitic languages . Here again they belong to the Ethiosemitic languages .
The South Ethiosemitic languages themselves are divided into the outer South Ethiosemitic languages and the transversal South Ethiosemitic languages .
