South Asia information network

The South Asia Information Network is a non-profit association that is registered at the Berlin-Charlottenburg District Court ( Association register no. 95 VR 22287 NZ). The association is dedicated to promoting education across the countries of the South Asia region .

The Südasien-Informationsnetz eV operates the website suedasien.info ( ISSN  1863-6063 ), which has existed since spring 2000 and is formerly suedasien-online, which provides information on the countries of South Asia ( Afghanistan , Bangladesh , Bhutan , India , Maldives , Nepal , Pakistan and Sri Lanka ) is available on the Internet free of charge.

At the beginning of 2004, the association founded its own series of publications (South Asia Information, ISSN  1860-0212 ), of which over a dozen issues have now been published and which can also be accessed free of charge as a PDF via the suedasien.info web portal .

At the same time, the activities of the South Asia Information Network intensified beyond virtual space. Cooperation with various other non-governmental organizations and institutions is another, increasingly important aspect of the association's work.
