Southern Germany (insurance)

The Southern Insurance Company , release the "Southern" was a German insurance company in the field of pet insurance . At that time it was one of the largest stock corporations of its kind.

The insurance was founded in Nuremberg in 1921 and entered in the commercial register on July 4, 1921 . The share capital was 3 million marks . In 1924 the company headquarters to was Munich in the Neuturmstraße one moved. The subject was the operation of horse and livestock insurance at fixed premiums in Germany, Austria, Holland, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Czechoslovakia.

Richard Höhne (Berlin), Emil Wurzer and Georg Mertins (both Nuremberg) formed the first board of directors. The first supervisory board included: Jakob Ackermann (Irlbach near Straubing), Georg Ries (Triesdorf), Andreas ready (Hofgut Eichenfürst near Markt Heidenfeld), Georg Kadelbach (south end near Berlin), Emil Kuhrts (Berlin-Schöneberg), Robert Mertins (Berlin- Schöneberg), Franz Müller (Berlin-Lichterfelde), Max Strubell (Berlin-Grunewald).

In 1933 the insurance was dissolved again.
