South East Indian Ridge

The Southeast Indian Ridge (also Australian-Antarctic Ridge) is a mid-ocean ridge , it forms the interface between the Antarctic Plate and the Australian Plate .

The Southeast Indian Ridge merges in the west ( 25.5 °  S , 70 °  E ) into the Central Indian Ridge and the Southwest Indian Ridge and in the east ( 61.3 °  S , 160 °  E ) in the Pacific-Antarctic Ridge and the plate boundary between the Australian Plate and the Pacific Plate .

The St. Paul and Amsterdam archipelago lies on the south-east Indian ridge .
