The Südwolle GmbH & Co. KG , headquartered in Schwaig is a textile finisher and a major producer of worsted within Germany. Südwolle GmbH & Co. KG forms the core of the Südwolle Group and is a full subsidiary of ERWO Holding AG , to which 84% of the Hoftex Group also belongs. The former worsted yarn spinning mill Stöhr has been part of the company since 2010 . Südwolle was founded in 1966 by the brothers Erhart and Wolfgang Steger and expanded from the 1970s by building and buying several spinning mills.
