Słowo Polskie (1896–1934)

The Słowo Polskie ( Polish word ) was a Polish daily newspaper published in Lemberg from 1896 to 1934 . It was the first modern daily newspaper in Galicia .

Until 1902 it was an organ of the Polskie Stronnictwo Demokratieyczne and then the Stronnictwo Narodowo-Demokratieyczne . The editors were Tadeusz Romanowicz , Zygmunt Wasilewski , Stanisław Grabski and Roman Kordys

From 1902 to 1903 the literary newspaper supplement Tygodnik Słowa Polskiego appeared under the direction of Jan Kasprowicz .
