Franz Xaver von Leibes

Franz Xaver von Leibes (born December 3, 1753 in Würzburg , † February 19, 1828 there ) was a Catholic clergyman and university professor .

Life

Franz Xaver of the body was in the 1771 Würzburg seminary received and studied theology that he and his promotion to the Bachelor of Theology completed on August 16, 1776; on July 18, 1778 he received his doctorate for licentiate in theology. After he was ordained a priest on December 20, 1777, he became a cooperator in Randersacker and received an appointment as chaplain in Ettleben and in the Julius Hospital in Würzburg; shortly afterwards he became court chaplain at the Salzburg seminary .

On July 13, 1785, Prince-Bishop Franz Ludwig von Erthal appointed him professor of dogmatics at the theological faculty of the University of Würzburg , and the following year, on September 20, 1786, he was appointed court chaplain; on April 13, 1789 he was awarded the prebend in the Neumünster collegiate monastery . On October 11, 1789 he was appointed regent of the seminary and on December 11, 1789 to the clergy . In March 1802 he was accepted into the chapter and in April 1802 he was elected as the last dean before the secularization of the Neumünster monastery. On May 31, 1802, he was appointed to the Real Privy Council .

He bequeathed one thousand guilders to the institute for epileptics in Würzburg .
