The S10 NBC Respirator is an ABC mask used by the British Army . It was developed as the successor to the S6 NBC Respirator . The S10 was first used in 1986 and is manufactured by the British company Avon Rubber.

The S10 is often confused with the SF10, which is used by the special unit SAS ( Special Air Service ), but the two models are fundamentally different from each other. Special lenses can be attached to the S10 to protect against the dazzling effect of stun grenades . In addition, the mask has a drinking tube with which liquid can be supplied while it is being worn, but only with an associated canteen . The mask works with a carbon filter , which is supposed to filter radioactive, biologically and chemically contaminated particles from the air in an emergency. It uses a 40mm filter that can be attached to any NATO mask.

A successor model is the similar looking mask FM12.
