The Special Ammunition Support Command , SASCOM for short , was a military organizational unit of the armed forces of the United States with which they made a contribution to the nuclear armament of NATO allies.

SASCOM was founded on April 15, 1960. Their seat was Heidelberg . Her duties included the administration and control of the transports and handling of the Honest John missiles.

In 1967 SASCOM consisted of ten US Army Artillery Groups with 38 missile artillery detachments.

It was abandoned in 1972, the 552nd US Army Artillery Group and the 514th US Army Artillery Group were dissolved. The subordinate units came to the 59th Ordnance Group , renamed the 59th Ordnance Brigade in 1977 .
