Fahr mal hin is a TV program of the Südwestrundfunk and the Saarländischer Rundfunk , which has been broadcast since 1987. It sees itself as a cinematic travel guide through the states of Baden-Württemberg , Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland as well as through the French regions of Alsace and Lorraine . The individual episodes have a duration of 30 minutes and are broadcast weekly on Fridays at 6.15 p.m.

The regions and cities with their historical peculiarities, things from nature, people who have achieved something special, culinary specialties or the local festivals are presented. The broadcast is intended to encourage people to visit the described area once.
