SB-LL2 (Paralympics)

SB-LL2 is a starting class for athletes in Paralympic winter sports for athletes in para snowboarding . The membership of athletes in the starting class is outlined as follows:

Snowboarder the class SB-LL2 have little difficulty in balancing, the controlling of the snowboard and in cushioning of the terrain due to impairments in the lower extremities. One of the following minimum criteria must be met:

  • minor to moderate impairment in one leg, for example an amputation below the knee in or above the ankle - or
  • Loss of up to 50% of the mobility of a knee joint - or
  • Leg length differences of at least 7 cm - or
  • minor, combined impairment in two legs, for example slight muscle weakness or slight spasticity in two legs.

The following applies:

  • prostheses must be worn in the case of amputations.
