The SCM Group is an Italian manufacturer of machine tools for woodworking . The subsidiary CMS SpA also manufactures thermoforming machines for plastics processing, CNC processing centers for processing composite materials and aluminum, processing centers for stone processing and water jet cutting systems .
The company's first woodworking machine was developed by Giuseppe Gemmani in 1952. His father Nicola Gemmani had a business partnership with Lanfranco Aureli as early as 1935, which later focused on the production of machine tools for woodworking.
