SCM Press is a British publisher of theological literature, originally with the student movement Student Christian Movement was connected. In 1997 the publishing house was bought by the company Hymns Ancient and Modern . In 1989 the Los Angeles Times named SCM Press "Britain's leading theological publisher".

In 2018, the Church Times reported that 100 SCM Press and Canterbury Press titles were made available to students through the Church of England's digital learning platform . The catalog includes works by Dietrich Bonhoeffer , John Swinton , Jürgen Moltmann , Phyllis Trible , John Bowden , Walter Brueggemann and Ed Parish Sanders .
