society

Blau-Weiß Stadtilm was founded in 1911 under the name SC Stadtilm . On a sporting level, the club operated until 1945 in the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs , in which Stadtilm qualified for the Central German finals in the 1930/31 season. In its only participation in the finals, the SCS prevailed in the first round with 2-1 against SpVgg Zella-Mehlis 06 , but then lost to Prussia Bad Langensalza with 0: 4. In the following period, SC Stadtilm no longer played a role in Central German football, and any participation in the Gauliga Mitte did not take place.

In 1945 the club was dissolved and re-established as SG Stadtilm . From 1950 the local articulated shaft works Stadtilm acted as a carrier company , the SG acted in the following time as BSG Motor Stadtilm . In terms of sport, the BSG Motor Stadtilm did not play a role in higher-class GDR football, but between the 1950s and 1970s it played for a few seasons in the third-class district league in Erfurt .

In 1990 the BSG was renamed FSV Blau-Weiß 90 Stadtilm . Since then, the club has played without exception in the regional area. In 2015, they were promoted to the seventh class Thuringia, season 1. In 2017, Stadtilm was relegated from bottom of the table and then withdrew its men's team from the game to this day.
