SFB 3 was a radio program from Berlin . From 1979 to 1997 it was operated as a classical and cultural wave by the Sender Freies Berlin .

In 1962, the SFB and the NDR started a joint third program with sophisticated music and word programs . On April 1, 1979, it became the SFB's classic and cultural wave under the name SFB 3 . On October 3, 1997, the program went into the newly founded radio stations Radio Kultur and Radio 3 .
