history

Foundation and first years

On March 3, 1950, the company sports association BSG Nagema was founded. Karl-Heinz Linnemann was elected chairman. At the beginning there were 3 sponsoring companies and 7 sports were offered. In 1951 BSG Nagema was renamed BSG Stahl and Willi Hendrich became its new chairman. The number of sports on offer also rose to 12. Furthermore, on January 10, 1952, BSG Stahl and BSG Stahl Mitte were merged and merged under the name BSG Motor-Ost . However, nothing is known about sponsoring companies and the types of sports offered. On November 10, 1953, Henrichs was replaced by Gerhard Weiß. An increase in the number of sponsoring companies to 4 was compared to only 10 sports on offer.

Another merger followed on July 26, 1954, when BSG Motor-Ost was merged with BSG Motor Halle . The new company sports association was now called BSG Motor Albert Richter and Otto Mönning became the new chairman. However, here too there is no information on sponsoring companies and the types of sports offered. The last merger took place on March 9, 1959. From the BSG Motor Albert Richter and the BSG Motor Halle center which now has BSG Motor Halle . On January 21, 1978, Lothar Venediger took over the post on the board. Nothing is known about sponsoring companies, while the number of sports offered remained constant at 10.

In the course of the political upheaval, it was finally renamed SG Motor Halle in 1990 . This went hand in hand with the transformation of the company sports association into a registered association. This year 7 sports were offered, a number that increased to 8 by 1998.

Women's soccer

The women's football department , founded in 1970, was the only division of the club that appeared during the GDR and across regions.

GDR best determination

The club achieved its greatest sporting success in 1984. In Colditz and Grimma, the women's team was able to celebrate the first and only (unofficial) GDR championship in women's football after their first qualification for the finals . The Halle women missed the second title in 1986 when they lost 4-1 to the BSG Rotation Schlema in the final of the GDR best determination.

NOFV women's upper league

In addition, the motor women also took part in the NOFV women's league , which was played for the first time in the 1990/91 season . With five wins, four draws, nine defeats and a goal difference of 15:38 goals, they came in 6th place.

After the turn

Even after reunification, the women's football department was retained. A women’s team is currently participating in games at the district level. Junior teams are not registered.
