The SG Wilhelmsburg e. V. is a sports club on the Elbe island of Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg . The syndicate Wilhelmsburg, briefly SG Wilhelmsburg has about 300 members (as of 2015). The club focuses exclusively on the sport of handball .
history
The Wilhelmsburg gambling community was founded in 1991. It emerged from the two sponsoring associations Turn-Club Wilhelmsburg and TV Jahn Wilhelmsburg (successor club SV Wilhelmsburg ). Between 1992 and 2005, the game association belonged to a total of eight seasons in the third-rate regional league . In the 1995/96 and 1999/2000 seasons , SG Wilhelmsburg took part in the DHB Cup , where the team was eliminated in the first round.
Halls
The home arenas of SG Wilhelmsburg are the sports halls of the Wilhelmsburg trade school center in Dratelnstrasse and the hall of the Helmut-Schmidt-Gymnasium in Krieterstrasse.
