The SILA 450C is a single-engine microlight aircraft produced by the Serbian manufacturer Aero East Europe Sila .

history

Production started in Serbia in 2006 and the inexpensive machines were initially well received in the Balkans. The type certification for German airspace was granted to the SILA 450C in 2013. The name SILA stands for Serbian Industry of Light Aircraft .

description

The aircraft is a two-seater, braced aluminum shoulder wing with landing flaps , winglets and a rigid three-legged landing gear with faired wheels. The maximum take-off weight is less than 450 kg. The wingspan is 9.4 m with an area of ​​almost 12 m² with flaps. Three engine variants are available, the Rotax 912- UL with 80 PS (60 kW), the Rotax 912-ULS with 100 PS (75 kW) or the Rotax 914 Turbo with 115 PS (86 kW). The aircraft are equipped with a Junkers rescue system.
