The SIX Payment Services (previously: SIX Card Solutions AG , until August 2008 Telekurs Card Solutions AG ) based in Zurich is a Swiss financial services company in the field of cashless payment transactions . As a bank card processor and market leader in Switzerland, Austria and Luxembourg, SIX Payment Services offers processing solutions for cashless payments for the European market. It ensures the payment process for card issuers as well as card acceptance by retailers for cross-border card programs. SIX Payment Services provides its payment & clearing services in 27 countries.
SIX Payment Services has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of Worldline since the end of 2018 . In return, the SIX Group received a 27% stake in Worldline. The company name is retained.
Areas of activity
The fields of activity cover everything to do with card-based electronic payment transactions, a range of products and services as well as complete solutions - for merchants (contractual partners), for acquirers (card processors) and for issuers (card issuers). This means:
- Acquiring Processing: the processing of transactions between the acquirers and their contractors (merchants) as well as the processing of cash withdrawals at the ATM.
- Issuing Processing: Solutions for issuers of credit, debit and bank cards. These include services in the area of risk management, the processing of disputed transactions and checking if there is any suspicion of card misuse.
- Point of sale payment terminals and e-commerce: the provision of payment infrastructures at the point of sale with autonomous and mobile payment terminals integrated into the cash register. In addition, Saferpay offers an internet payment solution.

- Saferpay
Saferpay is an e-payment platform that was developed for eCommerce and phone mail order trading. All common means of payment can be processed via an interface. By using Saferpay z. B. in online shops, paying on the Internet should be made more secure. The module software should guarantee fast payment transactions on the Internet. Saferpay meets security standards such as SSL, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and 3-D Secure as well as the requirements of credit card organizations.

In the first half of 2008, the first under the newly created SIX Group, net sales of 173.6 million Swiss francs were achieved in the payment transactions business area. The credit card turnover was CHF 6.0 billion.
