The KK SKY Perfect JSAT Group ( Jap. 株式会社スカパーJSATホールディングス , Kabushiki Kaisha sukapā jeisatto hōrudingusu , Engl. SKY Perfect JSAT Holdings Inc. ) is a Japanese holding company headquartered in Minato , Tokyo Prefecture . It was founded in April 2007 through the transfer of shares from SKY Perfect Communications Inc. and JSAT Corporation. As the only private operator of communications satellites in Japan and the largest in Asia, it covers Japan, Asia, Oceania and North America with a total of 14 satellites.

history

On April 2, 2007, the holding was founded through the transfer of shares in the two subsidiaries SKY Perfect Communications Inc. and JSAT Corporation as SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation. A year later the Space Communication Corporation became a subsidiary. June 2008 the AG renamed itself in its current name.

On October 1, 2008, SKY Perfect Communications Inc., JSAT Corporation and Space Communication Corporation merged to form SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation.
