The SV Rammelsbach is a football club from the municipality of Rammelsbach in the Kusel district .

history

The roots of the association lie with the workers, gymnastics and sports club Rammelsbach (ATSV for short), founded in 1922, and the 1930 Rammelsbach football club, founded in 1930 . These merged in 1933 to form today's association. The club was able to celebrate its first success as early as 1939, when it became champion of group north of district class 1 and thus rose to the district league. Due to the war, gaming operations had to be stopped in 1940; only the youth should play until the end of the Second World War.

On October 28, 1945 the club was re-established under the current name Sportverein Rammelsbach . Half a year later the game could be started. In 1947 the championship of the district class A could be achieved and thus rose to the district class Hinterpfalz. Two years later followed the promotion to the national league, from which the club, however, relegated after only one year.

In 1954, they were promoted to the 1st Southwest Amateur League, in which the Rammelsbachers could hold out for a total of five years. 1964 was relegated from the second amateur league; Since then, SV Rammelsbach has been consistently represented in the lower divisions. Only in 1976 succeeded in promotion to the then fourth-class district league West Palatinate.
