In its history, the SV Schwarz-Rot refers to the Köritzer Sport Club, which was founded in 1922 in what is now the district of Neustadt. At that time, Köritz had about 1500 inhabitants. After the Second World War , the Köritzer SC fell victim to the association ban imposed by the occupying powers in 1945. After sport had been reorganized at the level of company sports associations (BSG) in the Soviet occupation zone from 1948 , the BSG Lokomotive was founded in Köritz with the Deutsche Reichsbahn depot as the carrier company . As a result, the BSG set up numerous sports sections. Almost two years after Köritz was incorporated into the city of Neustadt (Dosse), the BSG changed its name to Lokomotive Neustadt / Dosse in May 1956. In 1978, the district operation for agricultural technology took over the BSG, which was then renamed BSG Landbau. As a result of the changed economic conditions in the GDR after the political change of 1989/90 , the system of company sports associations collapsed in the course of 1990. On the other hand, since the formation of associations was possible again, members of the BSG Landbau founded the registered association SV Schwarz-Rot Neustadt (Dosse) on July 27, 1990 , which initially took over the existing sports sections as departments.

Development of the sport of football

The Köritzer SC achieved no national importance with its football team. In 1949 the BSG Lok Köritz began in the Brandenburg district class, which became the fourth class Potsdam district class after the abolition of the GDR states in 1952 (fifth class between 1955 and 1963, see II. DDR League ). After the rise in 1955, the BSG, which was now running as Lok Neustadt, commuted between the district league (third class from 1963) and the district class from 1956 to 1978. Lok Neustadt spent a total of nine seasons in the district league, in which she achieved her best result in 1958 (calendar year season) and 1977/78 with 5th place. Under the name BSG Landbau, the Neustädter played another seven seasons in the district league and came in 1979/80 and 1982/83 again in 5th place. 1985 BSG Landbau finally got out of the district league. In the last season as a company sports association, Landbau Neustadt reached the district class position eleven among 16 teams in 1989/90.

In 1992, SV Schwarz-Rot was promoted to the then fourth-class Brandenburg Association. Between 1993 and 1996 Rot-Schwarz was represented for three seasons in the Oberliga Nordost , in which the SV rose again for one season in 2000. Until the 2008/09 season and from 2015 for a further two years, Schwarz-Rot Neustadt played in the sixth class Brandenburgliga since 2008 . At the end of the 2016/17 season, SV Schwarz-Rot had to return to the Brandenburg State League .

Other sports

In addition to soccer, bowling (district league), table tennis (state league, 2nd league in Brandenburg) and volleyball (district class) were also competed in 2016.
