The SV Zeitlarn is a sports club from the Upper Palatinate municipality of Zeitlarn (district of Regensburg). In addition to the successful football department, the club also offers the sports of curling, skiing & snowboarding, tennis, table tennis, gymnastics & courses and children's gymnastics. It has about 750 members.
history
The club was founded in 1931 as a football club. In 1977 he was promoted to the Oberpfalz district league for the first time in his history. Two years later, qualifying for the first main round of the DFB Cup was the greatest sporting success to date. There they were defeated by the then Bremen federation league club FT Geestemünde with 1: 4. When the district upper leagues were introduced in 1988, SV Zeitlarn was able to qualify for the new league from which it was relegated in 1992. Since then he has been commuting between the district league and the Regensburg district class.
