The SWB (Stadtwerke Bonn) regional supply and disposal GmbH (SWBR) is a subsidiary of the Stadtwerke Bonn -Konzerns. The shareholders are Stadtwerke Bonn Beteiligungs-GmbH, 90.4 percent and the municipalities of Altenahr and Adenau , each with 4.8 percent. SWB Regional GmbH was founded on August 1, 2006. Employees: 16. The main business area is the management of the Eifel-Ahr water supply association. The Eifel-Ahr water supply association supplies approx. 27,000 residents (approx. 10,000 households) in the Ahrweiler district and the municipalities of Adenau and Altenahr with drinking water via around 500 km of pipeline network. The Zweckverband has its seat in Adenau. Around 1.5 million m³ of drinking water is currently being distributed to 49 local communities over an area of ​​411 km². Due to very extreme topographical values ​​(522 m difference in altitude) there is a very demanding supply with 18 pressure boosting systems and 39 elevated tanks. The water losses are 13.7%.
