Trivia

In Japan, SYM is known for its funny ads on subways and taxis. The slogan "名古屋 に こ い や!" (Literally: "Come down to Nagoya!") Is known to many.

In addition, SYM commercials in Asia are known for the oversized cats that play in the spots.

In Israel, SYM's market share in scooters is around 90%.

Tuning

Tuning parts have also been manufactured for the Sym brand for a long time. The SYM scooters, for example Jet / Red Devil, have installed an engine that was developed in cooperation with Kymco , the engine type is called SF10 and there are tons of tuning parts available for the series. The same applies to the SA series, for which a displacement up to 120ccm is available. In the meantime, all well-known tuning manufacturers produce parts for SYM vehicles. The most popular in Europe today is the Taiwanese tuning brand Naraku, while in the USA it is also the Taiwanese brand Taida. In its 50cc 4T models, SYM uses engines from the 139QMB series (Honda license) and the 137 QMB series, which is based on the durable 2V horizontal engine from Yamaha. Both motors are available in 10 "and 12" lengths.
